He is the product of the classic “construction worker turned hair stylist”. Oh wait, that’s not a thing?! Mateo knew he didn't want to work construction forever but it wasn't until he watched a show called “Blowout”, about a guy who was a hairdresser in Hollywood, that he realized his new path. He began his journey in 2006 at a local salon where he trained in depth to learn the fundamentals of proper hair cutting, coloring and the perfect consultation.

Mateo, a lifelong learner, is always seeking advanced education opportunities. He is currently pursuing a Master's in Balayage and serves as a Lead Ambassador. His past experience as an educator for Kevin Murphy has honed his styling skills and allowed him to stay updated with new trends each season. This background fuels his passion for set work on photo and video shoots locally.

Mateo specializes in balayage, color melting and soft transition color. His promise to all his clients, whether it be their first time in or their 500th, is to openly and clearly communicate at the beginning of the appointment and deliver the best results possible every single time.

In high school she began her career in the industry as a “Saturday Girl”, cleaning, stocking, sweeping and shadowing at a local salon. She quickly moved into reception and inventory management for the next 4 years while attending Whitworth University.

After graduating from college she decided it was time to make her dream a reality. Lucia attended Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy in Coeur D’Alene in 2010 and began her career as soon as she graduated.

Lucia is a glutton for advanced education and loves learning new techniques, technologies, and all things hair! She is also a product junkie and loves to teach everyone how to choose products for their specific needs.

Lucia specializes in soft, natural, believable color and customized haircuts with detailed texturizing for each persons style and hair type. You can trust that you are in the hands of a perfectionist when you sit in her chair.

Dani knew she wanted to be a hairdresser at a young age. She considers hair a form of art, not just a job. Pottery and drawing were an outlet until she started the Beauty School program at the Spokane Skills Center her senior year in high school.  After beauty school, she furthered her education through an apprenticeship program. Now, 20+ years in this industry, she still continues to educate and share her knowledge with clients and fellow hairdressers.

After graduating from college she decided it was time to make her dream a reality. Lucia attended Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy in Coeur D’Alene in 2010 and began her career as soon as she graduated.

This girl loves doing hair, full stop. Dani is deeply passionate about her craft and committed to holding this industry to a high standard. She brings that love into every guest experience, with a focus on advanced cutting techniques, texture services, curly hair, and short haircuts.

Born and raised in Spokane, which seems to be a theme at Rooted and Rogue, Dani fits right in. When she is not behind the chair, you will find her out enjoying everything the area has to offer, from camping and snowboarding to boating, mountain biking, and jeeping.

It wasn’t until Covid hit during her senior year of high school that she decided to finally go for it. After taking a year to figure out her plan, she enrolled at Paul Mitchell the School in 2021 and proudly graduated a year later. Now, she’s building her career behind the chair and expanding her artistry through fine line tattooing — creating both beautiful hair and meaningful, detailed tattoos for her clients. Lauren is a Spokane native like the rest of the Rooted & Rogue team! She loves summer time (except for the bees!) and to paint and draw.

Lauren is passionate about learning everything that goes on in the industry and helping her clients style their hair with all the tips and tricks.

Lauren specializes in lived-in blonde, all-over color, styling, and fine line tattooing. She loves creating natural, effortless blondes that enhance each client’s unique look. One fun fact about Lauren is she can write upside down! In her free time she loves to play with her little cat Coors.

Madison's warm personality and attentive approach make her an ideal stylist for those looking for a personalized and thoughtful salon experience. Knowing that a great style can boost confidence and brighten someone's day. When she's not behind the chair, Madison loves spending time with her fiancé, her family, and her cat Chloe (who she calls Mou Mou). If she's not enjoying the great outdoors you may find her sipping coffee, watercolor painting, or playing a board game. Although Madison has lived in 6 different states, Spokane is home for her and her family!

Madison is passionate about investing in the lives of others, both in and out of the salon. Her dedication to staying current with trends ensures that her clients always receive the best care. She also has a heart for working with troubled kids, having spent several years as a foster care camp counselor.

Madison specializes in dimensional blondes and brondes, as well as long, luxurious locks. She also offers scalp and hair treatments tailored to give clients a refreshing boost. As a detail oriented stylist, Madison loves to listen to her clients well and brighten their day with an incredible new look!

With a love for all things beauty and transformation, Cybella specializes in blonding, brondes, color corrections, vibrant colors, and extensions. She has spent the past two years refining her craft and staying on top of the latest trends and techniques to give her clients the best results possible. Cybella was born and raised in Spokane and still calls it home. When she’s not behind the chair, you can find her in the gym, reading a great book, or spending time with her two beloved cats, Baby Kitty and Little Kitty.

Jenny has spent years studying product ingredients and how they affect the skin, ensuring her clients get the best care possible. With a meticulous eye for detail, she personalizes each service to meet individual needs and deliver results that last. Jenny was born and raised in Spokane and is proud to serve her community as an esthetician at Rooted and Rogue. With over seven years in the industry, she’s passionate about helping clients achieve a fresh, glowing, and healthy appearance through customized services. Whether it’s a flawless airbrush tan, smooth waxing, or targeted acne treatments, Jenny’s goal is to make every guest look and feel fabulous.

Jenny brings a friendly, approachable energy to every appointment, creating a space where clients feel at ease. After earning her esthetics license from Glen Dow, Veda decided to return to school to pursue hair and expand her skills in the beauty industry. Now, she offers a unique blend of services—ranging from lash lifts to haircuts—tailored to each client’s style and goals. Veda was born and raised in Spokane and is proud to serve her community as both an esthetician and a stylist at Rooted and Rogue. She’s passionate about helping people feel confident and cared for, whether it’s through a flawless brow lamination or a fresh haircut. With a warm personality and a laid-back vibe, she creates a space where clients can truly relax and feel their best.

Originally from Portland, Ellie now calls Fairchild AFB home, where she lives with her family and a small zoo of pets. With 14 years of experience in the nail industry, Ellie brings a deep love for creativity, a strong technical foundation, and a true passion for helping clients feel seen, safe, and stylish. She recently joined Rooted and Rogue and offers gel nail services—plus pedicures launching September 1st!

Gemmina brings over 14 years of artistry, mentorship, and industry passion. She has built a career dedicated to elevating the standard of nail care while empowering licensed nail technicians to grow strong, sustainable businesses. Whether she is caring for clients or teaching fellow professionals, her goal is simple: to create a supportive space where people feel skilled, confident, and capable of achieving their next level.

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Gemmina is grounded, creative, and driven by connection. When she is not in the studio, she loves gardening, thrifting with a vanilla latte in hand, and soaking up slow moments with her five-year-old son, Theo. She finds joy in home projects, cozy routines, and creating beauty in everyday spaces.
